Lamson Engineering is a national loss prevention and material handling company which was established in New Zealand in 1908. The company is steeped in history having been operating in New Zealand for nearly a century.

April 2008. Major milestone for Lamson Engineering NZ Ltd.
On the 23 April, Lamson Engineering will have been operating in NZ for 100 years. Products have dramatically changed since the company started in 1908 and will probably be very different in another 100 years.

May 2007. Upgrade Tauranga Hospital from a AC1000 to a multi zone AC3000 tube system and install an additional 15 stations, bringing the system up to 30 stations.

February 2007. Add Trolleyguard Demonstration Video to web site.

June 2006. Commissioned Trolleyguard system in a supermarket in Auckland.
This store is significant due to the fact that in the 2 years they have been open, this store has lost 500 shopping trolleys.

Nov. 2005. Commissioned the first Trolleyguard system in NZ, at New World - Metro. Wellington.
This was only a small system comprising of 40x trolleys and covering a small area outside the shop entrance.

June 2005. Commissioned final stage of the AC3000 air tube system at Auckland City Hospital.
System consists of 70 stations on 11 zones and will move 2500 carriers in a busy 24hr day.




The engineering division consists of several main products:
  • Air Tubes: high speed pneumatic tube system using carriers to carry cash,
    documents or medical samples, from station to station within a complex.
  • Trolleyguard: a patented electronic system that stops the removal of shopping
    trolleys from retail sites and dramatically reduces all trolley-related expenses.
  • Telelift: a high capacity automated distribution system using self propelled
    electric cars travelling along a network of extruded aluminium track.
  • Service Lifts: designed to meet the specific requirements of our customers, with
    floor areas up to 1 metre square and motive power not exceeding 750 watts.
  • Changemaster: (Download brochure 0.3mb) Coin/notes dispensing machine for shops with a number of cash tills that require change to maintain there float levels. Note reader cleaning cards are now available from us for these machines.
  • Plastic Storage Bins & Van Shelving: Lamson Storage Division.
